Dream it. | Celebrating Mardi Gras has been on my bucket list for a long time. I had no idea what it was really. Then I went to #Lafayette and got a 360° experience. In Ossun I witnessed Courir de Mardi Gras where “riders” wreaked havoc on the community collecting ingredients for their Gumbo. They ran after chickens, played tricks on the community, collected coins all under the watchful eye of “le Capitaine.” An experience I will never forget which I will share in an upcoming post this week! @lafayettetravel #mardigras #staytuned

Plan it. | No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t make my schedule in #Philly work to get onto the Ben Franklin bridge. The pedestrian walkway had hours of operation that just didn’t mesh with weather conditions and our itinerary. So we took some midnight shots from the ground instead! The contrasts of nature on these tiny islands was just amazing. The island of #GrandEntree alone had soft white sand beaches, this rocky shore and cliffs or red rock that inspired hours of hiking. . This shore was just next to the @aubergelasalicorne a resort on Les Iles de la Madeleine, that provides nature excursions.
