Today I got to see a #MardiGras parade from a new perspective... on the float itself. . . Seeing all those happy people smiling up at me when they caught the beads I threw was something I will never forget. It’s not just about collecting as many beads as possible, it’s about the connection between the communities we drove through and each person I made eye contact with before throwing those beads into their hands. . Thank you #Lafayette for being such happy hosts this experience will live with me for a long time.
